Based in Peterborough, reporting into the Head of Finance the Strategic Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring finance is at the heart of the decision making process. Is a partner to the Commercial and Supply Chain teams to assess opportunities: Works with the teams to ensure relevant, timely, and accurate information is providedReviews and analyses information to provide insight to the teams Appropriate and understandable information provided across all businesses.Constantly challenging processes and information provided both in content and delivery style. It requires strong skills in; Building relationships and providing support to the commercial teamBeing able to structure reporting to provide insight into complex supply chain and sales channels Analysing detailed information in order to provide summaries and insight in a concise and informative wayAbility to listen and solve problems with practical solutions. Identify opportunities to improve information provided. Keeping things simple and streamlined through the ongoing review of ways of working and evaluating the use of BI to simplify complex reporting structures Accountable for accurate sales P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, sales forecasting and budgeting across all businesses.Responsible for setting up and maintaining new reporting processes and working with other businesses to provide virtual P&L's .Ensure that up to date Product costings are maintainedProvide financial analysis to support strategy/business development. Support HoF with analysis and insight to enable informed decision making and profit delivery.Responsible for delivering P&L and Balance Sheet reporting through period end, budgets and forecastsResponsible for ensuring that effective controls are in place throughout the businessesSupport, develop and guide the Management AccountantContinuing review of processes and requirements to improve quality and efficiency of what we do To apply for this role you will need to be filly ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with: Strong academics to degree levelReporting experienceBudgeting and forecasting experienceExcellent analytical skillsExcellent communicatorCreative problem solver, ability to see both the big picture and manage the detailProven analytical skillsAdvanced Excel userInfluencing skillsConfidence to challenge, but in a positive and constructive mannerNot just "finance" focused; required to work with all functions
