Our client, a busy independent creative agency based in West London, is recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their ever growing team.
As the management accountant working closely with the Financial Controller ensuring the timely and accurate production of management information, you will have overall responsibility for bank and BACS dealings along with liaising with HR/Staffing Team regarding payroll and pensions to ensure that the monthly and weekly payroll is correct.
You will be highly analytical, have an eye for detail and be commercially minded.
This role would be exciting for an individual who is nearing the end of their studies or who has recently qualified, having gained your experience within the Agency world.

The Role:
- Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries
- Assist in production of monthly forecasting
- Assist the FC with WIP reviews & reporting
- Reconcile and process payroll, expenses and P&L with general ledger and prepare monthly close
- Analyse general ledger and budgets to prepare necessary revenue and cost accruals
- Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT
- Report on company assets and liabilities, including balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
- Work with the FC, compile and monitor the annual internal budget and meet with cost budget holders on a monthly basis to monitor overhead expenditure and make cost saving recommendations. Be the "go to" person for financial queries and advice for cost centre managers.
- Manage Paprika set up and develop to improve management reporting. Allocate user licences and work with direct reports to ensure Paprika training is provided to the appropriate level.
- Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operations
- Assist with tax reporting
The Person:
- Part/Newly Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent);
- Proven financial reporting/management accounting experience gained within a Media organisation;
- Proficient experience within Excel (Pivot Tables, formulas, data linking etc);
- Experience of Paprika and Sage Payroll would be highly beneficial;
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, influence your peers and manage strong personalities;
- Good team player with the ability to multi-task;
- Extremely passionate with infectious enthusiasm;
- Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail;
- Strong commercial acumen.
