Vargo Recruitment is excited to be recruiting an experienced Group Accountant for a large established Financial Services provider based in the centre of Cardiff. Job Role: This an IFRS reporting role within the Group Finance team with a focus on external and internal consolidated reporting. Providing an excellent opportunity to work with a wide range of key stakeholders across the Group, the role requires a motivated and hardworking candidate with strong technical ability and great communication skills. Candidates will be qualified in a recognised accounting qualification and have a minimum of two years post qualified experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Review and process financial returns from the Group's UK based and International businesses.Lead the Group's monthly IFRS consolidation process including management of the Group's consolidation software and co-ordination of data inputs and delivery of key outputs to relevant stakeholdersTake a lead role in the delivery of monthly and annual, statutory and management reporting for the Group and its insurance entities.Manage the Group's intercompany reporting processes including the delivery of monthly statements and full reconciliation of all accounts.Keep abreast of developments in IFRS reporting requirements applicable to the Group and its subsidiaries.Support the analysis of the impact, and subsequent implementation of new IFRS accounting standards on Group and subsidiary IFRS reporting.Develop and maintain good working relationships with the local finance teams across the Group.Provide additional general support and complete ad-hoc tasks as required by finance department managers. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a minimum of two years post qualified experiencePrevious experience of IFRS reporting (either from a practice or industry perspective)Previous financial services experience preferableExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent IT skills, including excel, word, PowerPoint and ability to adapt to new softwareStrong task-management skills including an ability to balance adhoc tasks with regular reporting requirements
