Group Accountant

A Group Financial Accountant is needed in a global travel, technology business to perform functions related to month end accounting close, researching accounting matters and preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Main Accountabilities: Assisting in monthly, quarterly and year end close including coordinating with various team members in corporate and technical accounting as well as other financial teams, including treasury, tax, financial planning, shared service centre and segment accounting teams in order to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results which are required to compile the Company's consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements to be filled with the Securities and Exchange Commission in the United StatesPreparation of key numbers and supporting information for the Group's external financial statements and disclosureProviding documentation to external auditors to support the audit and review of the financial statements and disclosuresRecording of journals for complex accounting transactions such as intangibles, acquisitions and tax planningPreparing numbers and commentary for key transactions and balances Knowledge: Part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant (or overseas equivalent) Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a team are essentialYou will be highly motivated and keen to both identify issues and to take responsibility for seeing them through to resolutionKnowledge of US GAAP, Oracle Financials and Hyperion would be a plus Environment: The team is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results to the Securities and Exchange Commission, ensuring compliance with US accounting rulesAssisting other finance teams within the organisation with accounting matters to ensure accurate reporting, including managing a number of different activities concurrently and observing tight deadlines If you are interested in applying for this exciting Group Accountant position, please give Natalie a call on or email him at
