If you have a passion for the food industry and are looking for a great company to work for, then read on! A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant based at their Spalding site. Reporting to the site Financial Controller you will be responsible for product costings, gross margin reporting, cost centre reporting, capital expenditure monitoring and be a key player in ongoing projects. Overall Purpose: To work as part of a team to provide clear financial information and support to managers across the site. Ensuring the provision of high quality comprehensive financial management information and reports that allow for improved decision making and performance tracking. The role will involve close liaison with the site senior management team, Head Office staff, factory floor staff and site finance teams. Your specific responsibilities and accountabilities are to analyse and report on trends, variances, performance issues, weekly sales and margin reporting. You will be responsible for monthly cost centre reports for the Production / Engineering departments and involved in the annual budgeting process, regular reviews with individual cost centre managers and balance sheet management including monthly sub-ledgers and reconciliations. Carrying out monthly management of fixed assets, including reporting on assets under construction, monitoring of associated budgets and cash flow, you will be responsible for capital expenditure reviews of payback and the preparation of management accounts to tight deadlines. Being a key player in ongoing projects, which may involve some infrequent travel to other sites. You will assist with the provision of accountancy services for an associated LLP, including year-end accounts, quarterly; cash management, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, raising invoices, payment of invoices and member drawings. You will Produce rolling forecasts to EBIT level to group head office and to manage the monthly intercompany pricing process and being responsible for new product costings is also key in this role. The successful candidate will ideally be working towards a financial qualification CIMA or ACCA. The ability to communicate effectively across all levels in the business and with non-finance personnel is essential. Advanced Excel skills, SAP experience or Product costing experience is desirable.
