Head of Finance

Brand new head of finance opportunity based near Manchester city centre Your new companyI am working on with an education focused organisation based near Manchester city centre in order to recruit a part time head of finance. The organisation works closely with a number of educational bodies throughout the UK and their head office is based in Manchester. They now require a part time head of finance in order to manage their finance team and corporate governance issues.Your new roleThis is a high profile position within the organisation and you will be the key figure within the finance team. You will be expected to attend board meetings, manage budgets & forecasts as well as complete year end, quarter end and month end accounting. Corporate governance is also a key element within the position and it is essential that develop policies and procedures in order to govern compliance. What you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA) with a background in financial leadership and compliance. As you will be dealing with senior stakeholders both within and external to the organisation it is also key that you demonstrate a high level of credibility. You will also be able to complete statutory accounting, management accounts and understand FRS102.What you'll get in returnThis is a senior level position and offers the opportunity to develop strategy.
