Group Accountant Controls

Cambridge, Cambridgeshire- A leading company with modern offices are looking for a Group Accountant within a controls aspect to join the established team in a newly created position. Working in a close finance team you would be joining a supportive company who pride themselves on development of their staff and internal promotions. The business are continuing to grow and in-turn will create opportunities across the wider business including the finance division. The role will work closely with the Head of Group Financial Reporting and play a key role in ensuring the group financial policies are aligned to the needs of the business and in a great position to help the business grow when the time comes while maintaining solid internal controls to strengthen group compliance. Working in a small sub division you will be responsible from an early stage of finance which will include: input in monthly group management accounts processes including preparation of balance sheet recs, you will support in the investigation of accounting queries including producing first draft of accounting papers, Inconjunction with senior staff and team members you will assist in the implementation of regular review processes of group policy compliance including on-site visits of oversea entities. The successful applicant will be ACA/ACCA qualified from an audit background having had experience in group consolidations including eliminations. This role would suit someone with a comprehensive background in audit within the profession and looking for their first move into industry. You will be able to work as part of a team aswell as on an individual basis with experience in financial controls and associated testing ideally with a strong IFRS understanding.
