Haig&Co are delighted to be working with a listed US owned business to support them in the search for a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Lead Business Analyst to provide on-site support in the creation and adherence of their international framework. The Role The role of SOX Lead Business Analyst will be to work in the Global Business Team, to support, create, roll out and enforce SOX regulations that affect all operational and financial areas of the business. You will be the important link between the operations, finance, business change/continuity teams and audit teams in providing total subject matter expertise on all areas pertaining to SOX legislation, controls and risk management. You will be expected to provide expertise on the creation and roll out of SOX recommendations pertinent to all business sites and processes; working hand in hand with business stakeholders to ensure a practical, workable solution is reached. This role will also be expected to look at continuous audit/process improvement using streamlined processes and automation where necessary plus review and validate processes/controls in light of any change programs. Given the highly analytical nature of the role you will be the go-to person regards to process review, updates and be always updating relevant stakeholders as to changes. Your remit will be truly global and this role will involve international travel which will be planned well in advance and occur 25% of the time (fully expensed of course). The Person This exciting role will suit a fully qualified finance professional (ACA/ACMA/ACCA) with ideally a background in audit/compliance but with significant portions of their career aligned to SOX controls/audit and documentation. It's expected you will have 3 years+ post qualified experience to be relevant for this role and be a well-versed risk and controls professional, being able to work with internal/external audit partners in the creation, testing and remediation of controls under the SOX umbrella. You will be able to demonstrate effective and tangible work experiences in a similar capacity, bring used to working in a multi-site, US oriented business, with a plethora of global stakeholders that you have built up trusted advisor status with.You will be able to provide recommendations in controls implementations or in an ERP environment and drive efficiencies by understanding the end to end process and critical control points.Your analytical skills will be superb, including high level intermediate to advanced Excel capability, excellent written/presentation skills and the ability to forge long-term professional rapport easily.
