Tax Lecturer Location: Whetstone, LeicestershireSalary: Excellent DOEEmployment Status: Full-Time, Permanent Company outline:Mercia is one of the leading providers of training and support services to the UK accountancy profession, working with over 8000 firms nationwide. Main Purpose of Role:The role includes:Training• Presenting tax CPD courses on Mercia's national face to face, online and in house course programmes (circa 100 events per annum)• Keeping up to date with latest technical changes across a wide range of taxes and presenting this in an interesting and engaging style• Writing and developing technical yet practical course materials for use on face to face and online events.Influence over course content (and due to the practical nature of the courses there are no syllabus restrictions)• Assisting the training event managers with ideas for new courses, conferences and webinars.Tax consultancy• Provision of consultancy via telephone technical support service, supporting other members of Mercia's tax team.Tax related marketing support products• Contribution to editorial and development of Mercia's range of tax related marketing support products and services, articles for websites, newsletters etc.Other opportunities• Client care and building relationships with the client base to identify and deliver their training needs.Skills and Experience Required:The role will ideally suit the following candidate:• Qualified CTA and preferably ACA or ACCA.• Excellent communication skills• Strong technical knowledge with the ability to make others understand• Hands on or management experience of tax assignments within a professional practice or relevant professional body.• Interest in technology and the opportunities this creates for development• Enthusiastic self-starter and team player with a desire to help others• Willingness to travel throughout the UKWe are focused on ensuring that Wilmington remains a great place to work.
