Temporary Financial Accountant

Reed Finance is currently recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing client in Belfast for an experienced Financial Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave in a busy finance team.Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful candidate will be responsible for optimising the resources of the department and continually improving the procedures within the required controls of the system. The main duties and responsibilities include:• Preparation of annual Statutory Accounts • Preparation of monthly financial statements• Completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations• Cash Flow reporting and forecasting• Supervision of 2 Finance staff re;• Sales invoicing• Supplier payments• Monthly journal entries• Fixed Asset register• VAT accountingAll applicants must meet the following criteria: A third level qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT or equivalent) and preferably with a minimum of five years post qualifying experience. Ideally you will have experience of ERP systems and while not essential, it would be desirable that candidates have previous supervisory / managerial experience.Experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
