Management Accountant

Badenoch and Clark are currently recruiting for a large shared service organisation in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The company are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their expanding finance team. Responsibilities include * Producing monthly management accounts including profit and loss account, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis, key performance indicators and supporting commentaries in line with agreed SLA and reporting deadlines; * Responsible accountant for the production of the statutory accounts and primary point of contact for resolution of audit queries; Maintain management accounting processes and implement and communicate any required changes; * Provide supporting data and relevant analysis to the SBU teams to aid decision making in an effective and timely manner; * Ensure management and fiscal reporting are fully reconciled and aligned; * Prepare and submit all consolidated management accounts for SBU and Group Finance review and sign off; * Validate and upload all monthly actual results, budgets and forecasts to the Group consolidation and reporting model (HFM) in line with required deadlines; * Ensure compliance with all finance processes, controls and regulatory framework. Ensure areas which could potentially adversely affect the business are expediently highlighted to management; * Proactively own and resolve issues including any business non-compliance through adopting a flexible approach and the creation of innovative solutions which maintain an acceptable balance between risk, reward, and compliance; * Proactively identify improvements (through root cause analysis), making recommendations and successfully implement new ways of working - gaining the full support of stakeholders and colleagues alike; * Provide effective business partnering and relationship management, * Primary point of contact with Heads of Departments, FC's and FD's The ideal candidate will be CIMA or ACCA Qualified with a background in Manufacturing or Shared Service.
