OUR PURPOSE At our Finance Department in Medtronic, plc, we focus on a culture of hard work, honesty, integrity and diligence resulting in all key deliverables being achieved on time and to a high standard. As Financial Accountant you are directly involved in compliance in key areas of finance including a) :-Preparing accounting statements for internal and external parties involving liaising with external agencies & MDT corporate finance on all transfer pricing , tax and audit issues. b) Managing intercompany relationships with a significant number of entities including cash settlements and management of cash pooling balances. OUR OFFER You will lead the planning and organization of the external audit including preparation of financial statements for Nellcor Puritan Bennett Ireland and Nellcor Puritan Bennett Ireland Holdings. You will complete reconciliations and maintenance for a number of key balance sheet accounts. You will manage all intercompany payable accounts, including approval and coding of invoices and confirmation of all intercompany balances. You will provide financial data to transfer pricing group to assist compilation of Cost Share Agreement adjustments and Transfer Price Adjustments. You will manage all accounting entries for the Nellcor Puritan Bennett Ireland Holdings. You will prepare the corporation tax calculation and be the primary contact for liaising with the tax consultants and corporate tax to ensure the group derives maximum benefit from the Irish operations. You will prepare the return to provision calculations and 9-month tax provisions for corporate tax group in Tax Stream. You will maintain high internal controls around delegation of authority (DOA) and balance sheet reconciliations. Also, you will be responsible for maintaining the internal Galway DOA procedure. You will be the primary contact with Corporate Finance in preparing reports such as monthly & quarterly flux requests, transfer price adjustment templates, Annual Intercompany Transaction matrix etc. You will be the main finance contact for non-inventory purchase order requisition review and approval. You will act as back-up to weekly and monthly payroll. You will be responsible for preparing and posting monthly journal vouchers to General Ledger. You will provide assistance in preparation of the Annual Operating Plan and monthly forecast submissions. You will support internal audits as required. You will participate in cross functional teams. You will liaise with various departments with regard to queries and providing guidance with regard to procedures and tools. You will generate and explain financial reports and analysis to management. YOUR PROFILE We are looking for a recently qualified accountant and desirably with 2-3 years post qualification experience, wishing to move into a complex, fast moving and constantly changing multinational manufacturing environment. You are a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. You are experienced with effectively interacting with various levels and functions within the organization, must be technically strong and willing to come up to speed quickly. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) are a requirement. Oracle JD Edwards & ERP LX system knowledge are desirable. You are a good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
