I am pleased to be partnering with an SME business based in Warmley, who are currently recruiting for a new position within their finance team. This role will work closely with the Finance Manager, and involve a range of duties from both a Transactional and Management Accounts perspective.
Client Details
My client, who remain family owned to this day, have grown from 22 employees in 1999 to 250 employees last year. As a business they have been extremely successful, with a 2019 forecasted turnover of approximately £37 million.
As well as the finance function of which you would become a part, their Bristol offices also house colleagues in HR, Logistics, Procurement and several other business areas.
Culturally the company is warm and welcoming, many of your future colleagues have been with the business for a number of years, and the business has a good record of developing people, for example both the Finance Director & Finance Manager progressed from more junior roles within the finance team. They are looking for someone who can combine the ability to roll their sleeves up and muck in with colleagues in junior roles at busy periods, but who can also be authoritative when required and is comfortable handling queries and supporting other team members.
Description
Key responsibilities for the Assistant Management Accountant:
Profile
As this is a new role, my client is open to looking at a range of candidate profiles for this position.
They are primarily interested in two main applicant backgrounds;
You may be someone who has significant experience within transactional finance and has begun to become involved with some management accounts work, which you would like to gain further exposure to. A candidate of this type may well be studying or have studied their AAT, or be looking to register to study CIMA or ACCA. This kind of candidate will find they have a tremendous opportunity to grow with the business, and your role can develop in line with your increased knowledge over the coming years.
Alternatively, this role would also be perfect for someone who has thorough experience within Management Accounts, and may well have a significantly higher level of qualification, but is also happy to get stuck in with the transactional side as required, and is comfortable with working at a level which is well within their capability. For example, this may suit someone who has worked at a more senior level, but has had some time off and is returning to work, or is perhaps seeking to improve their work life balance.
If either of these profiles describes you and seems to fit what you're looking for, then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.
Job Offer
As this is a new role within the business, my client is very flexible in terms of their budget for this position. Any offer for a successful candidate will be tailored to that candidate's specific level of qualification and experience. Please note, my client is also willing to offer a study package, which would again be tailored to the individual and dependent on their current level of qualification, as well as the other details of their package.
