Description
Responsibilities include:
Business Partnering - creating the bridge between Finance and the business to support the business in all finance and commercial queries and decisions.
Supporting the financial controller and the Cars business with operational and strategic decisions and the financial impact of these. These decisions will include sales planning, price planning, campaign planning, profitability analysis and SGA activity.
Responsible for month end actual reporting, budget and planning process for the UK Cars submission.
Full ownership for delivering accurate monthly P&L's for submission to the parent company
Coordinate and prepare the operational budget and re forecast processes culminating in the creation of local and consolidated profitability for quarterly budgets and longer term forecasting and planning.
Drive accountability for and monitor progress towards achievement of targets through preparation of reviews and regular meetings with the business.
Play an active role in driving best practice within the finance function including the use and the adoption of Hyperion Planning within the UK business.
Build relationships between UK Finance and the SSC, taking responsibility for continual improvement, efficiency saving and standardisation
Act as a consultant providing specialist expertise on all system improvements on a Cars perspective.
Work with the Financial Controller on the UK's continued compliance with SOx and all Statutory regulation requirements
Profile
A qualified Accountant, who is both commercially and technically competent, with a well-rounded understanding of business in general. A passion for working in the motor industry would be desirable, as this is a commercial role partnering with the business. We are looking for someone who is able to bridge the finance/non finance gap. Well planned but with an extremely flexible approach, able to respond to changing deadlines and requests.
Job Offer
£44-48,000 salary. Up to two company cars are available for a partial monthly contribution. Generous pension scheme, private health and additional benefits are also on offer.
