FINANCE DIRECTOR PROCUREMENT

CPL have partnered with a global medical device business for their latest hire. You will be an experienced Finance Business Partner ideally with prior manufacturing, supply chain and FP&A experience with the desire to work in a fast paced, complex environment with responsibilities over multiple international manufacturing sites. As Finance Director, you will have a team of 2 locally and 18 international controllers reporting to you. You will provide support to the Vice President of Global Procurement and the leadership team. You will provide financial oversight and counsel across Global Procurement and Contract Manufacturing. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Finance Business Partner working with Global Procurement Team working across the organisation supporting the strategic objectives of the group. This will also include providing guidance and support to the groups managing Purchase Finished Goods.
  • Providing Financial oversight in contract negotiations, supplier bids and overall assessment of supplier financial stability.
  • Working with the commodity and category team to understand the strategies to deliver savings ensuring the financial benefits are on track.
  • Lead and deliver the AOP and Forecast exercises for the Global Procurement team working with the VP to ensure targets are developed and executed upon.
  • Support the Annual Cost roll process for direct materials & PFG's providing guidance to the Global, site & finance teams through to completion of the roll.
  • Constantly seek out ways to improve our Finance practices, policies and process to deliver more effective and efficient outcomes.
  • Act as a role model for the businesses core values.
  • Provide financial oversight for spend analytics and validation of Cost Improvement projects.
  • Build relationships with site Finance to ensure there is alignment on Procurement savings and p&l impact.
  • Key Participant in the Supplier Relationship Management process, engaging with key suppliers as request by the Procurement leadership team.
  • Support strategic projects including site restructuring, make versus buy & NPI launches as applicable to the third-party supply base.
  • Partner with Corporate Finance & Treasury in areas including but not limited to Significant contracts & embedded leases.
  • Provide coaching to Site controllers on PPV reporting and analytics.
  • Lead, Engage and Develop direct reports, ensuring that employees reach their full potential and drive the business forward.


REQUIREMENTS.
  • Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA.
  • Minimum of 8 years as a Finance business partner with a demonstrated track record in driving results.
  • Work experience in a multi-national company and management of global business partners. 5+years preferred.
  • A working knowledge of the wide-ranging aspects of the manufacturing & supply chain process, such as procurement, delivery and warehousing of materials, inventory control, and distribution of finished goods
  • SAP knowledge would be desired.
  • Strong change agent.
  • A self-starter.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and resolve problems with little intervention from senior management.
  • Ability to manage and succeed in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess proven Project Management abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
