FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

WHAT YOU WILL DO:-

  • Accountable for full spectrum of company finance, accounting, audit and tax function to ensure timely and accurately reporting of financial result
  • Manage the process for budgeting and credit control, investment of fixed asset management, cash flow projection, financial forecasting and exercise control to ensure capital operation expenditure are within budgets
  • To explore and evaluate financial facilities with financial institutions, negotiate for favourable terms
  • Provide relevant information and make recommendations to the management on matters pertaining to joint-venture agreements, procurement of new business, tax planning and shareholder value enhancement to enable them to make informed decisions on these matters.
  • Continuously keep abreast with changes affecting the market so as to ensure the management is updated with the latest developments.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the risk management and corporate governance framework for the organization by making sure all the Head of Departments adhere to the set requirements so as to ensure compliance and good internal control.
  • Oversee the formulation of policies and guidelines regarding financial related matters in order to provide proper guidelines for employees to adhere to.
  • Assist in the feasibility study of new businesses locally and abroad by putting up financial proposal and negotiating the financial and legal aspects of engagement so as to safeguard the Group's interest.
  • Ensure the company tax planning & review is prepared accurately and timely
  • Ensure the financial security as accordingly to financial policy and internal control guidance to ensure all accounting system, practise control and procedures are fully compliant accordingly
  • Drive the continues improvement in accounting and financial reporting
  • Providing management team with meaningful information and advice on Company business growth
  • Lead, motivate and continuously develop subordinates in order to ensure they are fully equipped with the necessary capabilities thus enabling them to carry out their functions competently in order to achieve the highest level of efficiency in their respective roles and meet the requirements of the business.
  • To carry out any other duties and job functions instructed from time to time by the Company or persons acting on behalf of the Company
BASIC QUALIFICATION:-

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, with financial control and management reporting experience.
  • At least 15 year(s) of working experience in financial management
  • Able to lead a team of over 20 accounts and finance staff
  • Possess a high level of integrity, result oriented and has strong leadership qualities.
  • Result oriented with strong initiative and high integrity.
  • Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experienced in liaising with banker and relevant authorities.
  • Preferably General Manager specializing in Finance - General/Cost Accounting or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a complex and fast paced environment
