Management Accountant

Sheridan Maine is working with a highly acquisitive and growing organisation that needs a confident and competent Management Accountant to support their team.

Working within their head office based in Poole, you will be a keen team player and have the ability to work under your own initiative.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Production of monthly management accounts

• Validate nominal ledger accounts including reconciliations

• Banking including payments to suppliers

• Calculation of margin on contracts

• Challenging contract costing estimates

• Liaison with auditors

• Cash reporting

• Creating and posting monthly journals

• Produce VAT returns

• Cover for purchase ledger

We are looking for:

• Part qualified or qualified by experience

• Excellent Excel skills e.g. pivot tables, complex formula

• Knowledge of contract costing would be an advantage

• Manufacturing experience desirable but not essential

• Knowledge of Enterprise Exchequer would be an advantage

• Accuracy & eye for detail
