Responsibilities:

The main responsibility of this position is the overall supervision and finalization of the monthly inventory, costing, financial budgets and financial reporting. Coordinate compilation of finance and operational data for analysis as per instruction given by top management. Travel to Langkawi every 2 weeks for operation review.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and ensure that the monthly & quarterly finance and inventory closing within the stipulated deadline set by management
  • Manage the day to day financial and accounting operations
  • Ensure that all inventory transactions, import part invoices, material & man hours are charge accordingly for monthly account closing
  • Involve in physical count inventory and reconciliation variances
  • Troubleshoot any financial issues
  • Ensure that spending is recorded accurately in the books. Invoices are coded to the correct Cost Centre
  • Study, implement and execute spare parts inventories and co-ordinate monthly reporting for stock in and stock out, usage report, slow moving report with system reporting control & improvement.
  • Co-ordinating with relevant departments to compute and analyse the costing for respective sub business units (Actual Vs budget or future projects)
  • Review SST reports and documentation and ensure proper compliance, accuracy, and timely submission and payment of SST
  • Facilitate the External Audit by working with the auditors to answer queries and liaised with tax agents for the required statutory requirement
  • Liaison with bankers for banking matters
  • Able to undertake ad hoc assignment and perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as and when required
Academic qualification and skills required:
  • Candidate must possess a professional qualification in accounting such as ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ICAEW or equivalent.
  • A member of Malaysia Institute Accountant (MIA)
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 7 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Knowledgeable in understanding full set accounts
  • Strong analytical background in budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience in inventory management and its co-relationship to accounting aspects
  • Experience in MRO and Airline industry is preferred
  • Prior experience with a Big-4 accounting firm preferred
  • Reliable and trustworthy with an eye for detail and full understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive data
  • Initiating continuous process improvements without compromising on quality
  • Communication & negotiation skills vis-à-vis other Departments/Employees
  • Proactive, resourceful, analytical, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced business environment
  • Proficiency in MS office, Advance Excel user is an advantage
