Interim Financial Accountant

This is an urgent requirement for an interim financial accountant to join a rapidly growing hospitality company in North Middlesex.
The candidate will be technically very strong, with a good knowledge of financial reporting standards.
The candidate will also be immediately available to start ASAP.

Description

• Produce statutory accounts for the legal entities and include limited liability partnerships and limited companies.

• Ensure balance sheets are clean and all control accounts fully reconciled each month.

• Present clean audit files to make the audit process as painless and efficient (and therefore cheap) as possible.

• Complete Companies House, DTI, Pensions regulator and other statutory filings correctly and on time.

• Submit accurate VAT returns.

• Develop month end routines for closing the books

• Create an accounting policies manual for the Group

• Month end consolidation.

• Production of monthly profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet.

• Become the group's go-to expert on financial accounting matters, reducing reliance on third party professional services firms.

Profile

• Qualified accountant, preferably ACA or ACCA.

• Strong technical accounting skills (UK GAAP / FRS 102).

• Experience of LLP accounting preferred.

• Resilience and ability to stand your ground on matters of compliance.

• Good systems and Excel experience.

• Production of statutory accounts.

• Reasonable understanding of VAT

• Ability to work under significant pressure.

• Attention to detail

• Highly organised and disciplined

IT literate including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and (preferably) accounting systems such as Sage

Job Offer

This role will be recruited on a daily rate.
