This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of Australia’s premier Financial Institutions within their Wealth Management business. The position sits within External Reporting and will be responsible for ensuring processes and external reporting are executed within performance parameters and meet regulatory obligations.
Reporting to the Head of External Reporting, the key elements of your role will include:
Possessing an Accounting or Finance related degree and CA/CPA qualified, your experience will ideally have been gained within a Financial Services organisation, preferably within the wealth sector. Alternatively your experience will have been gained from a Big 4 accounting firm. You have proficient knowledge of financial accounting principals together with strong numeric, analytical and problem solving skills.
Reporting to the Head of External Reporting, the key elements of your role will include:
- Directing the work of individual contributors and providing hands on support and quality assurance to ensure the work is reliably delivered.
- Develop and implement frameworks and controls to ensure reporting is compliant e.g. disclosure checklists.
- Be aware of regulatory change and understand its impact to production
- Research and deploy selected tactics used by Group Finance and other finance teams to ensure compliant reporting.
- Develop complete timetables and adequate timeframes to ensure customer deadlines are met are provided to production.
- Monitor production progress to timetables and escalate where required.
- Develop and implement an assurance framework to ensure data received from outside is accurate.
- Ensure that the production processes are robust and have where required appropriate controls are designed to ensure accuracy
