Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller for the site, your role as Assistant Accountant will be in a supportive capacity for all transactional processing and month end, as well as data analysis and process improvements. Key duties will include:
- Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Posting accruals and prepayments
- Processing accounts payable invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and dealing with queries
- Month end reconciliations including stock and credit card
- Providing support for month end reporting
- Playing an active role in developing and delivering reports to support business decisions
Profile
We are looking for an Assistant Accountant who can demonstrate:
- Some experience working in an accountancy function
- Strong Excel skills and able to efficiently use spreadsheets (pivots, tables, graphs)
- AAT qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
- Ability to work under pressure and possess strong organisational skills
- Fantastic communication and able to build relationships across the business
- Confident and professional approach, and able to liaise with key stakeholders in the business
