The role will be to help develop the Accounting function within the group including the production and review of statutory financial accounts for client companies and Trusts in many jurisdictions, providing professional advice to clients on accounting matters and assisting with the management training and development of staff in the team.

The highly experienced team of circa 150 professionals, from chartered accountants, tax planners, chartered secretaries and bankers, IFA'S and pensions Specialists.

Description
The successful recruit will be a positive, professional and experienced accountant. Client service is a key part of the role and is paramount to the firm. The candidate must be able to work on their own initiative to produce quality work on a timely basis. In addition, this candidate should help to build an improved service offering in the department by contributing their time and expertise to the team.
The role will be to help develop the Accounting function within the group including the production and review of statutory financial accounts for client companies and Trusts in many jurisdictions, providing professional advice to clients on accounting matters and assisting with the management training and development of staff in the team.
Profile
Management of a team of accountants responsible for the preparation of both management and statutory accounts to UK audit and accounting standards
- Responsibility for a book of clients (preparation of accounts, looking after and developing client relationships
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
- Training and development of junior staff to reach high standards of service
- Interact with auditors in completing audits
- Assist the team with the transition to a digital platform
- Qualified to ACCA, ACA or equivalent
- Post qualification accounting experience in a client focused environment
- Proven experience of producing statutory accounts and up to date knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
- Proven experience of managing a team
- Strong IT skills and knowledge of accounting systems
- Time spent working within practice
- Forward thinking and ambitious mind set
- Experience in working with Non UK Corporate and Offshore companies and trusts
- Excellent written, verbal and communication skills
- Client care skills and service attitude
- A professional and responsible attitude to client confidentiality
- Able to meet tight deadlines
