The opportunity


The Senior Demand Manager is a key member of the Advisory Service Line (SL) Resource team and wider UK&I Resourcing network. The role encompasses the following:
• Account management of a designated market and sector portfolio, in this case Energy and Infrastructure;
• Business partnering with senior leaders within the market and sector and acting as the conduit between the resourcing team and sales;
• Optimising supply strategies for resourcing projects advising on best possible commercial outcomes;
• Management of demand fulfilment in line with key performance indicators such as utilisation margin and revenue;
• Demonstrating knowledge of the Advisory business, clients and people's capabilities to proactively advise Engagement Leads and Partners on resourcing solutions;
• Supervising the resource team's performance and identifying opportunities to enhance performance and resolve escalations.
  • Direct reporting line to the Advisory Strategic Resourcing Lead.
Direct line management of Resource Managers.

Your key responsibilities

Driving and managing resourcing performance
• Responsible for overseeing resource deployment
• Key member of the Operational Management team, contributing to weekly/monthly meetings focused on resourcing performance and owns actions to improve results
• Proactive liaison with Engagement Partners, Directors and Managers to understand client requirements and the wider needs of the business to facilitate effective resourcing decisions
• Dealing with escalated resourcing issues and making decisions on conflicting demands, liaising with other members of the Resourcing team as required
• Understanding the skill sets and proactively deploying individuals to areas where optimal utilisation can be achieved
• Providing insights to the Strategic Resourcing Lead on business performance and discussing trends, interventions and actions to improve results.
• Managing the annual productivity targets to drive performance
• Working with other Senior Demand Managers (and Operations where relevant) to input on budgets to capture accurate headcount and chargeability phasing
• Proactively monitor pipeline with local stakeholders
• Supporting and implementing continual improvement of resource deployment processes

Create an Exceptional Team

• Leading and participating in Resourcing function team meetings, performance development requirements and training to develop the function
• Involvement in Recruitment of all Resourcing roles
• Leading on wider Resourcing initiatives and new technologies

• Strong business/commercial acumen to challenge the commercial drivers of resourcing decisions and demonstrate wider perspectives to deliver results
• Ability to use business information/data to anticipate and execute interventions to improve performance across the team
• Ability to think quickly, work under pressure to meet competing demands
• Proven experience overseeing a team or area with management responsibilities

To qualify for the role you must have:
• The ideal candidate should have considerable experience in commercial resourcing, recruitment or operations environment that can demonstrate adaptability to the role

Ideally, you'll also have:
• Professional services experience
