About Sunway Berhad:
Sunway Berhad or Sunway Group is a Malaysian conglomerate company. It was formed following a merger between Sunway City Berhad and Sunway Holdings Berhad on 23 August 2011. Sunway Holdings Incorporated Berhad commenced operations in 1986, mainly to develop the Bandar Sunway township in Petaling Jaya.

Job Duties:
  • Identify and execute tax planning in the interest of the Group

  • Ensure tax compliance requirements are met such as review of tax computation/ deferred tax (where required), timeliness on tax return submission and Form CP204/204A

  • Liaise / co-ordinate with tax consultants for tax advice / assignments for domestic or overseas operations as and when required.

  • Advise on corporate tax, withholding tax, RPGT, various tax incentives, dividend payment structure, DTA, tax implications of significant commercial transactions

  • Keep abreast with latest tax developments and highlight tax implication and explore for opportunity for tax saving

  • Ensure there is no sizeable adjustment in deferred tax and/ or provisional tax computation in final audit

  • Co-ordinate with tax consultants with GST implementation

  • Provide guidance and support to subordinate

  • Manage flow of dividend from subsidiaries to meet dividend distribution by Sunway Berhad

  • Any other duties assigned from time to time.
 
Minimum Qualifications:  
  • Degree in Accounting and Finance or ACCA; Masters in Business Administration Management or anything equivalent.

  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years related working experience.

  • Strong tax background will be an advantage.
