Finance and Tax accountant role for a part qualified accountant/studier/finalist who wants a role which is 50:50 Finance and Tax
Salary of up to £40,000 per annum with study support provided

Client Details

Well recognised international leisure and hospitality business in Wimbledon which is walkable from wimbledon train station, this is a brand new role due to success of the business - £500 million revenue business

Description

Accounting responsibilities:

  • Monthly-Cash bank accounts data collection
  • Monthly detail balance sheet reconciliation review
  • Quarterly assist in preparing/reviewing trial balance and consolidation schedules
  • Updating financial statement and audit requirements for all entities
  • Re-assessing loans documents; lease documents; valuation documents and sale & purchase agreement impact on reporting schedules.
  • Cashflow forecasts for all portfolios including going concern issues & sensitivity analysis
  • Quarterly covenant preparation for any/all portfolios
  • Monthly reporting of P&L and commentary
  • Assisting with Internal audit reports
  • Assist local level accountants with double entry bookkeeping

Tax responsibilities:

  • Monitor corporate tax compliance deadline of global portfolio entities.
  • Agreeing & settling fees, determining the scope of works for advisors and timescale/time table for work deliverables. Providing information to external advisors.
  • Paying outstanding tax liabilities and preparing corporate instalment calculations
  • Review and submitting UK VAT returns
  • Assist with preparing or review year-end tax provisions and tax reconciliation notes for the annual accounts
  • Assisting with making tax digital implementation & EORI/VAT registrations
  • Liaising internal finance managers on corporate budget, FATCA, CRS checks
  • Assisting with PIID, PSA submissions and general payroll matters across portfolios
  • Assisting with withholding tax & residency certificates, transfer pricing, country by county report.
  • Assist on quarterly tax forecasts

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tax experience and desire to work in a role which is 50% tax responsibilities
  • Tax reconciliation / liabilities / forecasting experience
  • Be part qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA or finalist or actively studying and have recently sat exam papers
  • Ablility to demonstrate rapid progression in terms of experience and studies so far in their career
  • International / multi entities experience / VAT experience
  • Budgetting experience
  • Strong excel skills

Job Offer

  • Salary of £35,000-£40,000 depending on experience
  • Full paid for study support after probation
  • Walkable from Wimbledon train station
  • 9-6pm with one hour for lunch or 9-5.30pm with half hour lunch (40 hour week)
  • 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays (increases by 1 year after each year of service)
