A fantastic opportunity as arisen for a Group Payroll Manager to join a global business on a 12 month FTC based at their site in Rochdale.

This is an exciting time for this successful business who are undergoing fantastic growth. This opportunity is a 12 month FTC to join the business as the Group Payroll Manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a challenging and rewarding business.


Group Payroll Manager duties include:

  • Oversee a team of 16
  • Ensure the payroll team are working efficiently
  • Ensure even distribution of wok amongst employees
  • Review payroll prior to submitting
  • Review and process pension arrangements, student loans, SMP, SPP and SSP
  • Processing/ Reviewing all payroll month-end procedures
  • Liaising with tax authorities
  • Investigating and resolving payroll queries
  • Maintaining professional payroll knowledge - UK, Jersey & IOM and EIRE jurisdictions
  • Process head office and other confidential payroll duties
  • Carry out adhoc projects/ improvements with the payroll department


The successful Group Payroll Manager will have/be:

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Proven experience of managing a team
  • Knowledge of Pension schemes is advantageous
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Desirable but not essential experience of working on Sage and or Core HR systems

Job Offer

£40,000 - £45,000 +Monday to Friday working hours + staff discount
