Finanical Controller - Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport

Requirements:
- We are looking for a leader who is ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication, organisational, analytical skills.
- System experience of Sage 200, Opera and Procure Wizard though not essential.
- Ideally qualified or working towards a professional accounting body certification.
- The ideal candidate will demonstrate at least 2 years accounting and management experience, preferably in a hospitality, food & beverage environment or within the retail sector.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the hotel senior team, the Financial Controller creates an annual business plan and review of the same.
- Identification of areas for revenue improvement and cost control, getting consensus of such analysis with the GM, taking positive steps to communicate the impact and push for action to achieve positive outcomes.
- Drive the integration and standardisation of systems, controls and procedures
- Provide guidance and training to managers and staff on finance procedures including cash, purchasing, debt collection etc. to ensure strict adherence to financial controls and leads by example.
- Be the commentator and presenter for the hotel through strong financial analytics with a clear focus on the numbers able to translate the business story.
- Ensure compliance with all departmental/company procedures and highlighting issues if necessary.
- Work closely with wider hotel team to ensure a functional understanding of departmental financial reporting and other metrics.
- Preparation of accurate weekly financial reports including forecasting of profits and payroll.
- Assistance in the preparation of books and files for audit and declaration of VAT and payroll taxes, including compliance with payment deadlines
