Performance

Ensure weekly management accounts reports and commentaries are submitted internally & externally on time and weekly stats files are accurate and weekly reports match the stats

Deputise for the commercial manager ensuring a high quality and efficient service is maintained.

Responsible for control of purchase ledger, invoices, queries, orders raised and received alongside the Commercial Accounts Assistant.

Supplier statement reconciliation

Ensure data files are maintained and updated correctly

Responsible for balance sheets accounts reconciliation on a periodic basis

Produce weekly / monthly accounts ensuring Accounts are reviewed with appropriate explanations given for variances

Responsible for weekly summary statistics and KPI's ensure paid hours are reconciled to worked hours each week

Provide a professional service to all internal and external customers

Accruals and prepayments

Raising PO's

Ensure performance reviews are conducted in line with site procedures and issues / development identified and acted upon.

Ensure that all management accounting and financial accounting tasks are completed in a timely fashion

Prioritise work to ensure timely and accurate completion of all financial accounts completing to a high standard whilst adhering to company procedures and financial regulations.

Produce accurate and timely accounts

General

Responsible for the day to day running of the finance department.

I am looking for an experienced Management Accountant that will take up the role of Finance Manager for this national logistics company based in south east London. you will already be part qualified and be happy to work in a gritty logistics environment; shy wall flowers need not apply!

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent including qualification in Maths and English

• Commitment to recognised accounting qualification, part qualified to CIMA/ACCA, pref CIMA

• Minimum of 2 years accounting experienced in a fast paced, high pressure environment

• Strong PC skills and knowledge of accounting standards

• Ability to communicate at all levels

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Proven influencing skills

• Ability to plan and prioritise workload including delegating where appropriate

• Flexible approach

Job Offer
