We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Planning & Analysis Manager (UK Lead & Analysis).
In this role, you will:
- Adhere to and be able to demonstrate adherence to internal controls. This will be achieved by adherence to all relevant procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators.
- Implement the Group compliance policy by containing compliance risk in liaison with Regional Head of Compliance, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer. The term 'compliance' embraces all relevant financial services laws, rules and codes with which the business has to comply. This will be achieved by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures and by liaising with Compliance department about new business initiatives at the earliest opportunity. Also and when applicable, by ensuring adequate resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimising relations with regulators.
- Lead work across Business and Finance teams to deliver analysis required (e.g. Margin analysis with Finance business partners)
- Support RBWM Business Finance Europe's performance, engagement and overall development.
- Functionally align with local / regional finance teams and/or accounting officers to understand, interpret, and provide global direction and support, driving towards global consistency and common frameworks. Identify, transfer and foster sharing of best practice across regions.
- Stay abreast of all financially-related, internal and external market-wide initiatives that affect RBWM. Providing appropriate updates and briefing as necessary and applicable.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Degree / accounting qualification or equivalent
- Strong relevant work experience in a relevant role with a track record in Planning
- Strong capacity for in depth analysis and challenge, with a proven track record of tackling complex problems and applying a forward-looking approach
- Strong leadership skills, demonstrating ability to use initiative and effect change through people in a large matrix organisation.
We are required by the Financial Services (Banking Reform) Act 2013 to create a ring-fenced bank in the UK by 1 January 2019. Entirely new from the ground up, HSBC UK's head office is opening in Birmingham. The location of this role will move to our new state of the art offices at 2 Arena Central during 2018.
