Accountant / Management Accountant

Responsibilities:

Examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Responsible for the company financial and management reporting. Preparation of company forecast, budget cash flow management and cost control.
Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
Responsible for the planning, organizing and control of the accounting affairs of the company and its subsidiaries.
Ensures accounting records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards and local statutory requirements.
Liaise with external parties such as auditors, bankers, tax authorities and custom.
To understand and analyze the different type of business models and processes that align with tax strategies & to track changes related to taxes.
To provide on-going advice and solutions on the new SST implementation and submission.
Independent in handling the daily operational works of Accounts/Finance department and assist the Head of Dept. in all accounting functions and treasury matters.

Requirements:

Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or Professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / MICPA)
A member of MIA or other professional accounting bodies is an added advantage
Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in the manufacturing environment or Audit firm
Computer literate especially in Microsoft Office applications and computerized accounting system (knowledge of UBS and/or SQL Accounting Software is added advantage)
Possess good knowledge of accounting principles and standards
Proficient in corporate tax computation and tax knowledge
Possess good analytical skill
Independence, self-starter with a high level of diligence and have initiative
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with high levels of integrity and able to communicate comfortably at all levels
Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is preference
