Head of Finance (Bancassurance)

Responsibilities:

• ​Responsible for the delivery of financial and capital plans, and provision of relevant management information and analysis.
• Develop long-term and short-term financial plans, partnering with relevant functional areas to articulate business priorities and financial plans to execute against those priorities.
• Maintain an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives.
• Provide advices to top management in relation to business finance with strategic planning
• Prepare financial modelling and financial analysis for various ad-hoc financial projects.
• Proactively identify and suggest improvements to general policy, procedures and systems to increase the effectiveness of the management information reporting, financial planning and analysis functions.
• Ensure all activities related to the finance function comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Ensure compliance with Group Head Office reporting deadlines/timeframes. Assist and support Finance teams across the region as appropriate to this end.
• Articulate analysis and commentary on business performance and financial reports to Senior Management to business requirements.
• Prepare regular reports, recommendations and interpretations to the leadership group based on financial and operating data and variances in the budget.
• Maintain the refine models for better and timely financial forecasting.
• Maintain clear audit trials on work performed.

Requirements:

• Degree Holder of recognized accounting qualification or other related disciplines.
• Professional accounting qualification with at least 10 years' experience in an accounting, planning and analysis role. Previous experience in insurance services industry is highly preferred.
• Solid knowledge of management information and planning processes and systems.
• Knowledge of industry best practice in finance, accounting, internal controls and procedures.
• A team player with excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Excellent data analytical and problem solving skills with attention to details.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
