Associate Director, Portfolio Lead - Regulatory Change

An excellent opportunity for you to join the Project and Change team as an experienced Portfolio Lead within Macquarie's Financial Management Group (FMG).

As the Portfolio Lead for regulatory change, you will be responsible for delivering the regulatory change program across FMG and managing associated project resources. Some examples of current projects within the program include SACCR, Large Exposures and EFS. In order to deliver the project outcomes, you'll be required to build and lead teams across the Bank's central functions and business units globally.

The Industry is experiencing unprecedented levels of regulatory change in Australia in addition to an ongoing global agenda. The leader we're seeking will play a critical role, not only in delivering against the existing program of work, but in continuing to develop the function to be responsive to increased levels of change. You will lead a team of around 25 staff with a total portfolio budget of roughly $25 Million.

In leading the Regulatory Change Portfolio, demonstrated experience as a strong people leader will be critical as you build and motivate teams to deliver outcomes. This includes managing the career development and learning opportunities for the Project Managers and Business Analysts in the portfolio and mentoring and coaching your team on delivering regulatory change projects.

A strong Portfolio Lead will be able to confidently manage relationships at the executive level, globally and cross functionally. Leading and influencing senior leadership forums and project stakeholders, providing visibility, appropriate escalation and key decision making is essential to success. You will be overseeing and influencing end-to-end project and work stream management across a global, cross functional team. Key responsibilities also include project initiation, scoping, project team proposals and business case pitching to sponsors and governance forums.

We would like to speak to you if you are project or program management qualified (e.g. Prince 2, PMP, SAFE Agile) and preferably have experience as an agile coach, ideally with agile accreditation. You should have experience working for a large, financial services organisation and the ability to understand complex system architecture and data flows. A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and change is not required but will be highly regarded.

If you are a strong leader with a growth mindset, are curious and have the ability to learn and adapt quickly, then apply today.
