TITLE Management Accountant LOCATION Newark, NJ DUTIES The Management Accountant will prepare, examine, or analyze financials or other financial reports to assess accuracy, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry and economic conditions. Develop robust infrastructure and establishes cost controls framework to manage and control the overall costs of the supervisory remediation program (SRP), work streams and projects. Coordinate various cost processes budgeting and forecasting, variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial reporting of the program across various work streams. Ensure processes are in place to support the financial and resource analysis of the program. Support the month end process to ensure costs are accounted and proper accruals are recorded to reflect the accurate trends. Monthly analyzing and reporting of project costs across different work streams and report to the management regarding the finances of the establishment. Analyze data and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding. work with financial crime compliance (FCC) function to identify the regulatory alm/bsa projects. Develop the cost control mechanism to distinguish the program financial structure from FCC function structure and applies data mapping principles for consolidated reporting purposes. Contribute to the financial control submission process (FCS), to substantiate the balance sheet balances in the bank's financial books. Represents the program in the group's budget and forecast process to include the program budget and forecast in group's financial reporting system. ensures processes are in place to validate the cost efficiency of funding requirements. Perform gap analysis, identify risks and opportunities to budget/ forecast and highlight the material variances to US SRP PSC and group finance. Ensure the oversight and compliance of financial accounting standards across the program. Establish a framework of controls around cost management to ensure costs are managed within the approved budgets and forecasts and ensures appropriate financial controls are in place to raise the awareness of the US SRP PSCS and/or group finance to any changes in the program that materially affect the business case and to gain re-approval of the project if necessary. REQTS Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, plus 3 years of related experience within the financial services, banking, or regulatory industry. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, employer will accept 2 additional years of related work experience within the financial services, banking, or regulatory industry. Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in managing financials for global programs. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following interpret and perform analysis of diverse financial data and performance metrics to provide perceptive insights to a business or function; develop complex data bases to build finance models to assist in forecasting and tracking of financials; promptly put together detailed, summarised, and executive presentations for various top management committee meetings; develop operating expense scenarios in support of business financing; manage budget and forecast process in terms of understanding and validating the business or function requirements and align these with top down targets; handle end-to-end processes, meet timelines, and handle high work volumes; leverage audit and operational policies to complete projects within the financial services or banking industry; analyse accruals and balance sheet account balances to ensure timely actions are taken to report accurate balances and ensuring tight controls are around to reduce potential risks; handle complex varieties of financial products data and business or functions requirements; work with two or more of the following finance systems people soft general ledger, financial control systems, oracle hyperion essbase, smart view, cross broder recharge systems; leverage month end and year end related accounting policies and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); work in performance and cost management, and financial and management reporting areas; identify and implement automations and process improvements to simplify the processes to reduce turnaround time lines and increase efficiencies; implement strong controls in place around the processes to ensure accuracy of information; and project management experience to handle team's specific project internally and externally.
