Data Analyst – Data Innovation & Partnerships
Be part of a Data innovation team working on exciting ideas to make data work for our customers
The role will be involved in analysing & testing customer data to provide deep insights. Working across the extended ANZ banking systems and numerous others, the role will interrogate data to form meaningful analysis as input to assess aspects such as data quality, fit for purpose, identification of nuances etc. This role is accountable for delivering high quality, accurate and timely data analysis to guide both technical and business related activities within the scope of the ANZ Data Innovation & Partnerships team

• Identify opportunities to use data to drive valuable customer propositions
• Drive to life & prove value of data innovation opportunities
• Support data driven customer conversations
• Develop & deliver data enabled strategy
• Build a suite of off the shelf data products using ANZ internal data to provide macroeconomic insights

What you bring to the Role
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline – finance, commerce, economics or statistics.
• Experience in a similar role, particularly in the finance or insurance industries
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify & solution data driven propositions
• Strong understanding of data analytics techniques, the ability to extract insights from data and inform business decisions
• Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve the level of insight surfaced
• Strong ability to identify business recommendations using strong data propositions
• Technical skills:
• Ability to write and amend scripts using SCALA, R, Python and/or SQL
• Working knowledge of Tableau, Qlikview, Teradata, SPARK, Hadoop Framework, SAS
• Data visualisation and presentation skills would be an added advantage
