Financial Controller

We are currently recruiting for a large Industrial client within County Durham, our client seeks a full time experienced Financial Controller to join the team on a permanent basis.

Description

As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for overseeing and developing a small team which over time will expand.

Reporting into the Group Finance Director you will be required to undertake the below duties:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including reviewing work performed by direct reports
• Variance analysis in support of management accounts
• Monthly re-forecasting
• Accounting for long term contracts in construction companies within the group
• Ownership of cash flow management and forecasting
• Ownership of Invoice Discounting accounts and relationship with ID provider
• Year end audit preparation
• Annual budget preparation including liaising with departmental managers

Profile

You will ideally be currently employed as a Financial Controller or be at the stage in your career where you are ready to take the next step up! There's a preference that you're fully CIMA or ACCA Qualified with experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment.

You must have a hands-on approach with a willingness to spend time across the business, understanding processes and help solve problems which will ultimately improve product profitability and efficiency.
