Commerical Accountant - Sports Media

The opportunity has arisen for a newly-qualified finance analyst to join a PE backed media business based in central London.

Client Details

My client is a sports media firm with the largest offering in their space, and a worldwide audience over 30 million. They build and create content across a range of platforms including their own TV channels, as well as partnerships with other well-known brands. With strong PE backing they are now looking to continue their international growth and explore new areas in the UK market. As a result there is a newly created commercial accountant position.

Description

As the commercial accountant you will be tasked with developing a business partnering culture and providing essential support to the Financial Controller and non-financial stakeholders. Your key responsibilities will include:

-Preparation and review of monthly management accounts, highlighting key areas for investigation

-Production of management information with commentary on actuals and KPI performance by brand

-Supporting the Financial Controller with budgeting and forecasting through meetings with key budget holders

-Support production directors with financial modelling, including business case appraisals (e.g. for new projects)

-Assist with pricing decisions for new projects

-Ad hoc analysis for the Financial Controller

Profile

As a strong applicant for this media business commercial accountant you will:

-Be a newly-qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA preferred)

-Demonstrate exposure to preparing and investigating monthly management accounts

-Show strong commercial acumen and analytical skills

-Have supported the budgeting and forecasting process

-Possess strong excel skills

-Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business

Job Offer

The offer to the successful candidate will be £50,000-£55,000 depending on experience plus bonus, 3% pension, and healthcare.
