Finance Shared Services Centre (SSC) Our SSC was set up in 2000 and is based in Deansgrange, Co Dublin. We support a number of Baxter's European businesses and are in the process of expanding our operations to increase the scope of services. Operations include: accounts payable; accounts receivable; intercompany accounting; general ledger; fixed assets; inventory accounting and treasury accounting. To help support our expansion we have the following vacancy: Financial Analyst Purpose of Role: Reporting to the Assistant Manager (Revenue & Commissionaire), the purpose of the role is to perform Revenue & Commissionaire processes for a number of Baxter European entities. Key Responsibilities: - Perform cash allocation as required and in accordance with agreed procedures; - Complete General Ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations in accordance with set policies; - Prepare VAT monthly reports, as directed; - Process transactions to the General Ledger; - Prepare general reporting for European entities as directed; - Actively support process improvement initiatives; Qualifications - Other duties as assigned by manager. Skills and Experience required - Third level qualification in finance or accounting related discipline - Good knowledge of MS office suite, particularly Excel - Fluency in English - Customer focused - Self-starter - Team player Desirable: - Working knowledge of information systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, Cognos, GetPaid - Fluency in or working knowledge of another European language Key Features of the Role - Additional hours required at critical times, for example, month-end. - Occasional Public Holiday and some weekend work.
