Accountant job assisting the Finance Manager with the preparation of the monthly accounts and payroll

Your new role
This Assistant Accountant job will work alongside the Finance Manager assisting with the monthly accounts and Payroll. You will be responsible for some transactional duties including expenses, monthly payroll for 135 staff, month end work such as journal entry and reconciliations, pulling the trial balance and helping to produce the management pack. You will also be able to get involved in wider analysis and reporting duties.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this Assistant Accountant job you will have a strong background in transactional finance duties with some experience of month end journals. You will ideally be looking for a step up in your finance career and want to take on more responsibility alongside your studies. It is essential that you have knowledge of payroll and a strong understanding of excel (V look-ups & Pivot tables).
