The Position:

Applications are invited for an Assistant Financial Accountant based at their Doncaster Site. This is a full time permanent position, working 40 hours per week.

As an Assistant Financial Accountant your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements from management accounts and prepared audit file.
• Undertake reviews of fixed asset notes and supporting workpapers.
• To be involved in revaluation work and capital commitments work.
• Provide support to the Head of Tax, Audit and Compliance with IRIS (Statutory Accounts) completion and IRIS uploading and consolidation.
• Consolidation package completion for group reporting.
• Internal audit Rethmann principles & UK GAAP.
• Fixed asset function including audit and migration onto new system.
• Provide support with capex control, the sale of properties and investment projects.
• Intercompany reporting co-ordination.
• Provide assistance with the completion of various tax returns and compliance matters.
• Any other ad hoc duties/business development projects, as required.

The Person:

• The successful candidate will be qualified or studying towards CIMA or ACCA (the Company is willing to offer professional development/sponsorship).
• Good standard of formal education, including GCSE Maths and English (Grade A* - C) or equivalent.
• You will have a good knowledge of current accounting standards, and experience in the production of management accounts and published financial statements.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Previous experience with Navision Accounting System would be advantageous.
• Previous experience of working within an Accountancy/Finance role/function, preferably some experience in a practice role.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Good decision making skills, assessing situations to determine the importance.
• Ability to prioritise workload to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

The Company is also willing to offer professional development/sponsorship through an accountancy qualification.
