You will be working closely with the UK Head of Tax, supporting the wider finance team and managing and coaching junior members of the UK tax team.

Description

An industry leading business based in Knutsford is currently looking for a bright and driven individual to come on board as the Deputy Head of Tax.

Your role will involve, but not be restricted to:

• Supporting the UK Head of Tax with the planning and delivery of all aspects of UK group and company tax reporting and forecasting

• Manage the delivery of all aspects of UK corporation tax compliance at UK group level and at company level

• Building effective business partnering relationships with key head office functions in particular the Treasury team

• Support business initiatives including mergers and acquisitions and business transformation projects

• Ensuring the close relationship between how the Group's structures itself for Tax and Treasury is properly managed for UK tax compliance purposes.

• Support the Head of Tax, Head of International Tax and Group reporting team on special projects

• Managing and coaching junior members of the team

Profile

The ideal candidate must be ACA and/or CTA qualified. You must also be a proven self-starter, who is comfortable liaising at all levels and confident enough to drive the development of comprehensive tax solutions. Proven experience in treasury tax and tax transformation projects / advisory is also desirable. This is initially going to be a 12 month, fixed-term contract.
