Page Personnel is working in partnership with a leading law firm to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their growing accountancy function in Liverpool city centre.

Description

The key responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant role are as follows:

• Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
• Supporting all other month end reporting requirements
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Posting standard journals for accruals and prepayments
• Maintaining the fixed asset register, posting depreciation journals and reviewing capital expenditure
• Preparation of EC Sales List and submission to HMRC
• Producing nominal bills and intercompany account reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations and quarterly reviews
• Assisting with the general ledger process
• Ad hoc support on projects as and when appropriate

Profile

The successful candidate must have the following skills and experience:

• Part qualified and actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification
• Experience with month end reporting and accounting
• Strong Excel skills
• Strong communicator as the role will be liaising across all levels in the business
• Legal background is desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
