Description

  • Understands the strategy of the Service Division and provide relevant financial insight into performance developing expertise over time.
  • Interprets and explains financial performance within the Service Division.
  • Researches and presents dynamic industry, competitor and economic contexts.
  • Ensures the provision of accurate, relevant and timely management information.
  • Supports the development and analysis of the financial and commercial aspects of Division specific capital projects.
  • Responsible for the production of the Division level monthly Management Accounts adding commentary, including student income and expenditure.
  • Review performance analysis and trends of both individuals, including reviewing indirect income against targets and sources of funding.
  • Review of organisations Facilities to assess their financial viability for both new and existing unit.
  • Provide effective support, advice and control of the financial and commercial aspects of grants and contracts in both application and delivery phases.
  • To be an advocate for delivery of internal Customer Service.
  • Deputising as relevant for the line manager by attending relevant boards and meetings with groups with contribution to relevant decision making.
  • Provide training on relevant financial rules and regulations to all areas of the organisation.
  • To host discussion groups to identify new opportunities and developments within each of the areas of responsibility, to consider options for consideration and potential systems developments.
  • Provides financial leadership to the Division and assist in determining strategic direction and aligning financial strategies to this
  • Support the development of financial budgets, plans and strategies and their effective implementation for the Services Divisions that they support.
  • Profile

    • Qualified Accountant
    • Line management experience (this post manages a small team)
    • Experienced in supporting non-finance budget holders.

    Job Offer

    • Basic salary of up to £48,000
