Group Financial Controller

We are currently working with a well known, market leading specialist manufacturing group based in Chesterfield with their search for a Group Financial Controller.Our client are continuing to grow organically and by acquisition and are therefore looking for someone who is keen to find a role that will develop over time.The business is currently working through an exciting period of acquisition, having recently added a business to the portfolio this year and in the process of due diligence for another. Due to this ongoing growth it is planned that the successful applicant will have good opportunities to progress in the business themselves.Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director your key responsibilities include:-Timely and accurate production of all Management Accounting for the central group functions and one operating business unit.-Monthly consolidation and reports of business units-Consolidate business unit budgets and produce the group budget-Production of all financial statements including, year-end group statements and subsidiaries.-Develop, maintain accounting controls for the group-All requirements of accounts and returns to Companies House and maintaining the statutory books-Liaising with group auditors-Group VAT and Intrastat returns-Preparation of annual pension scheme accounts and trustees reportThe position of Group Financial Controller within this group would ideally suit a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), however all applicants including those qualified by experience will be considered.This opportunity would benefit a professional with a proven background in Manufacturing and knowledge of integrated ERP systems, experience of operating a Pension Fund and Managing IT would be advantageous.Sewell Wallis acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
