Site Accountant - French Speaking - West Africa (Ex-Pat Opportunity) My client: VANRATH are exclusively recruiting for a French-speaking, Site Accountant for a large engineering client, based in West Africa. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to oversee a key role within a thriving organisation which will provide unrivalled commercial and cultural experience for the successful candidate. The Role: Reporting to the Group Financial Director you will assume complete control & management of the Financial, HR, Supply Chain & Logistical functions of a national site. Specifically, you will: - Be responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly & annual management accounts, cost reports, cash-flows, budgets, rise & fall reports, liaising with external auditors (incl. Governmental auditors); - Oversee management of the HR Department, with responsibility for 400 employees - Be tasked with liaising with Financial Advisors, Auditors, Banks & Lawyers to ensure the company adheres to national law & complies with financial regulations. - Be responsible for procurement & supply chain management is to acquire orders / spares & make complex logistical arrangements in time critical environments. - Attend conventions & meetings on a weekly / monthly basis in order to build & maintain relationship whilst also developing new contacts / networks in order to gain knowledge of potential new sites / understand trends of current sites - Liaise with Production Managers / Finance Directors / CEO's & Plant Directors to discuss issues & implement new strategies to improve areas - Liaise with company CEO's / Directors / Surveyors / Estimators to discuss new contracts and subsequently compiling all information required into contract / tender format for onward review & submission in adherence with company policy The Ideal Candidate: - Part-Qualified accountant ( Minimum ) - Basic level of fluency in French - Commercial experience in Construction/Mining - Intermediate MS Excel (Fluent ) - Ability to work on own initiative - Excellent communication skills - ideally outgoing-type with some prior exposure to staff management Remuneration: - Basic First Year Salary of £40 - 48k+ (dependent on experience). - Bachelor contract (Tax free) +10% Annual Bonus on completion of full year worked successfully - Travel Costs - Accommodation - Monthly allowance - Car + Driver for Company use - 70 days annual holiday For further information on this vacancy, or any other senior accountancy appointment in Northern Ireland or beyond, please apply via the link below or contact Damian Della Croce in the strictest confidence on 02890 330 250.
