Nairobi, Kenya

4-6 weeks

Our partner is an international organisation, based in the UK, improving access to water and sanitation. Their work in Kenya includes working with government to influence regulations and improve services; support international and national investment into water and sanitation; conducting key research; and connecting low-income communities with major infrastructure.

You will begin with an internal review of their existing financial procedures, systems and controls. You will be making and starting to implement your recommendations for best practice, taking into consideration the capacity and resources of the team.

Our partner have specifically requested support to improve their internal reporting between Kenya and UK.

You will be helping the team to meet compliance and assessing efficiency and potential cost savings. They want to ensure the team have robust budget monitoring procedures and controls in place going forward. In particular, the UK office would like to understand better how petty cash controls are authorised and controlled with suggestions for improvements.

You will be working from the main Nairobi office and there may be travel to the other offices if required.

Our partner will also reimburse you for vaccinations and provide a daily stipend for food and other expenses.
