As an Assistant Accountant, the role offers an opportunity to be a crucial part of the full-life cycle of accounting, with integration with the other teams in UK and around the world. It will be a very hands on role and would suit someone who comes from an all-round position in either bookkeeping or producing management accounts.
My client is a well-established business in the wider Southampton area looking for a new Assistant Accountant to join the team.
As an Assistant Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
Payroll preparation and new starter administration.
Maintaining HR ledgers.
Prepare and execute bi-weekly payment runs.
Prepare monthly accounts in accordance to month end checklist.
Keep Balance Sheet notes accurate and up to date.
Prepare VAT returns.
General office administration.
Ad-hoc accounting duties as and when required including assisting with purchase ledgers and credit control
To be successful, you should have:
- Solid understanding of the full Accounting process.
- Well-established Analytical, Communication and Organisational skills.
