Assistant Management Accountant role working for a growing Property & Development organisation in Pontypool. The business are targeting the best Part-Qualified accountant in the area.

Client Details

I am working exclusively with a growing SME Property & Development organisation in Pontypool. They are working with us to help find the best Assistant Management Accountant in the area. My client are looking for someone hungry to take the role and turn it into something larger. The Finance department is growing and the Current Financial controller has created this new position to help him branch out further and grow the business.

Description

The key responsibilities include:

-Deputise for the Financial Controller where appropriate.

-Support in the preparation of Management Accounts including Accruals and prepayments.

-Variance analysis with appropriate commentary to support operational management.

-Management of Company Risk Register.

-Budgeting and forecasting - general and project related.

-Working with operational personnel to monitor and control project costs and budgets.

-Year End Support including assisting in internal and external audits.

-Assist with Cash flow forecasting.

-Balance sheet reconciliations.

-VAT returns.

-Management of the purchase ledger system on QUBE including ensuring all project and overhead invoices are authorised.

-Preparation of weekly payment runs and review of Aged Creditors.

-Preparation and submission of returns to HMRC - CIS, PAYE & NIC.

-Identifying cost saving opportunities.

-Working with the Financial Controller to manage the day to day activities of the finance team.

Profile

The successful candidate will ideally be someone that is hungry, determined and career driven. The Financial controller is looking for next best Qualified Accountant. Someone that is currently studying or wants to start studying ACCA/CIMA or ACA will be the preferred candidate.
