Construction Accounting Manager

Essential Responsibilities:

Oversee the construction draw process and manage the team responsible for the processing, reviewing, job cost tracking and general ledger posting of construction loan draws for all construction projects
Facilitate accurate and timely communications with project managers, lenders, vendors and third parties to manage draw requests / requirements
Oversee lien waiver maintenance and subcontractor insurance verification
Oversee the preparation of monthly variance reports, cost projections, and construction estimates as well as any ad hoc reporting as requested
Develop and execute proper accounting treatment for complex transactions including purchases and cost segregation
Lead costing data process improvement and analysis
Review monthly reconciliation of job costs and general ledger construction accounts
Determine and monitor cash requirements for numerous entities on a recurring basis
Analyze receivables, payable and accruals and ensure proper accounting is consistently applied
Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and supporting schedules as required
Assist in documenting proforma estimates
Supervise and develop construction accounting staff
Special projects as assigned, often of a confidential, complex and/or urgent nature
Other responsibilities as assigned
