About you:

You will be responsible for running PikoHANA's Malaysia Shared Services Center (MSSC), including oversight of a team of accountants responsible for managing the day-to-day operational accounting and closing processes for a portfolio of clients across a wide-range of geographies and time zones.

The MSSC will be PikoHANA's main operational hub, and a key part of your role will be to support the Company's client-facing Account Managers on a global basis.

You'll be based in Kuala Lumpur and report to the Managing Director in Singapore.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for the design, system oversight, controls, and policy setting for MSSC.
  • Responsible for all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations and financial statement close cycle in order to ensure accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions.
  • Involvement in accounting projects and other special projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Our clients are from 8+ different countries and counting so you need to be comfortable with email/Skype/Zoom communication
  • You need to be tech savvy and comfortable working with a variety of cloud-based technologies
  • You need to have managerial experience, preferably having managed a team of accountants
  • Structured and organized, detail oriented with ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines
  • Self-starter with a hands-on attitude and team spirit
  • Proficiency in MS office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Your responsibilities include:
  • Manage a team of accountants
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities including day-to-day accounting support
  • Review financial reports
  • Tax and compliance filings
  • Coordination of client related administrative tasks
  • Payment processing
  • Invoice processing
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent

Professional certification (ACCA; CPA; etc.) is preferred

Managerial experience is a must

Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia

At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
