Manufacturing Financial Controller

A hands-on financial controller position, with 1 direct report based in Wythenshawe for a global manufacturer. The role reports into a regional FD, meaning the day-to-day running of the finance function is largely autonomous allowing the successful candidate to make it their own and gain valuable experience.

My client is looking for a Manufacturing Financial Controller with a strong manufacturing background for their Wythenshawe site. As a global brand who operate in several markets, they have grown their international presence through both organic and acquisitive over their rich 150+ year history.

Description

• Overall managerial responsibility for the effective and efficient financial control of the Wythenshawe site

• To participate as a key member of the site's management team

• To support the site management team in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that all related financial activities are reported in a timely and accurate manner

• Support the Head of Commercial Circuit Protection and the Head of Operations in achieving targets, as set and agreed within the business

• Production of the monthly site accounts within 2 working days of the period end

• Responsible for reporting all of the site's financial performance including all relevant KPIs

• Maintenance and development of the costing system to ensure that product costs are accurate

• To produce monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the site

• Monitoring and management of the site's working capital, in particular inventory and also fixed assets

• To provide data, information, guidance and support to all business functions

• Achieve a clean annual financial audit report for those areas mentioned above

• Ensure on a monthly basis that all significant variances against budget and forecast are fully understood explainable, with this to be achieved within the strict month end timetable

• Achievement of the site forecasts and budgets

• To play a key part in continually developing and improving all aspects of the site's performance

Profile

Desirable/Essential Characteristics Manufacturing Financial Controller:

• Minimum of 3 years PQE (Preferably CIMA qualified)
• Experience of SAP
• Manufacturing Experience
• An effective communicator
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
